The 4Cs - Carat Weight
A diamond's weight is measured in 'carats'. Each carat is divided into 100 points and there are 5.00 carats to 1.00 gram, so 1.00 carat is equal to 200mg. When looking at a pair of earrings, the total carat weight is the weight of both diamonds combined.
OUR DIAMONDS
The minimum total carat weight we carry is 0.50 carats and we currently carry a maximum total carat weight of 1.00 carats in stock. However, a much larger range of weights are available through our made to order bespoke offerings and we can easily work to a carat weight of your choice.
GIA CARAT WEIGHT SCALE
Simply drag the gold sliders on the interactive scale to give an indication in the difference carat weight can make to the diameter of a diamond and compare two diamonds side by side. The scale shows individual carat weights, so if you are looking at a pair of diamond earrings with a total carat weight of 1.00 carat, then you will need to select 0.50 carats on each of the sliders.

GIA's video on carat weight provides a good introduction into the relationship between carat weight and value and shows how a diamond is weighed.
